Question: Where is the event venue?

Answer:  The venue is:

Question:  Is parking available?

Answer: Unfortunately there is no parking available at the start venue, but we have access to a carpark a short distance away. 


Question:  Where do I register on the day?

Answer:  Registration will be set up in Front of the entrance to The Royal Engineers Museum


Question:  What time does registration open?

Answer:  If you have registered in advance, you will need to check in with our Registration Team to collect your rider number.  Registration opens at 08:00 and closes at 08:45.


Question:  Can I enter on the day?

Answer:  Yes.  There will be an 'Entries On The Day' desk where riders will be asked to complete a registration form.  The desk opens from 08:00.  Payment can be made by card, cheque or cash.  On the day entries are subject to a £5.00 surcharge.


Question:  Do I have to raise sponsorship to take part?

Answer:  Fundraising is optional but we do encourage riders to raise a minimum of £50.00 for The Royal Engineers Association.  Participants will be offered the option to set up an online sponsorship account.The person who raises the most sponsorship can win a £700 credit to be spent on cycling equipment curtesy of The Bike Warehouse,, Gillingham or a bike fit worth £400 from Ben-efit Bikefit Studio. When you set up your online fundraising account, please mention cycle4heroes in the title. 


Question:  What time does the ride start?

Answer:  The riders will be set off at 09:00.   


Question:  Do I need to wear a cycle helmet?

Answer:  You must wear a cycle helmet to take part in this event.  No helmet, no ride


Question:  Do I need insurance?

Answer:  We recommend that you have appropriate insurance cover for you and your bike.


Question:  Are spare parts available for my bike?

Answer:  Yes, our mechanics carry spares for most common bikes.  All spares supplied are chargeable.


Question:  What happens if I get lost or have difficulties on the day?

Answer:  Contact Event Control who will assist with any issues that you may have.  The Event Control number will be provided in the Rider Pack and will also be on your bike number.


Question?  What time does the ride finish?

Answer:  Riders are expected to completed the ride by 15:00.


Question:  Hold old do I need to be to take part?

Answer:  You must be at least 16 on the day of the event to take part, If you are under 16, you must be accompanied by an adult.


Question:  What facilities are available?

Answer:  There are toilets at the venue and there is also a cafe.


Question:  Are there refreshments on the ride?

Answer:  There is a feed station on the route where hot and cold drinks will be available along with a range of snacks.  The feed station also has toilet facilities.


Question:  Are the roads closed?

Answer:  No, the roads are open and you will encounter other road users.
